Active Choice workshop

Norwegian Red youth basically focused on major four activities ACTIVE CHOICE, RULES OF WAR (International Humanitarian Law), ON THE RUN (24 hours role play) and ASHYLUM ACTIVITIES. But every year Norwegian Red Cross Youth also has yearly campaign this year it is on HUMAN TRAFFICKING as a yearly campaing under a topic WHEN DIASTER HITS.
During this time period I have been part of all activities to help local youth groups of Akershus Red Cross Youth and also other groups out of district which is our main task as a youth delegate. Active Choice is an activity which is designed with a motto to provide information about sexual health to young people. Some reports say that Norwegians are world champions when it comes to unprotected sex. More than 20’000 Norwegians are infected by Chlamydia each year. So, to disseminate information about sexual health we used to visit, different schools which has conformation groups (conformation group is a group of young people who have been entered their fifteen).
We had visited three different schools of Kjellervolla, Sørumsand and Stalsberg to hold active choice workshop for the young conformation group. We were altogether six instructors and five volunteer for holding workshop. It seems like a big challenge to hold workshop for 270 students but it went very well. The young students are of about 15 years old. Most of the participants seems like feeling shy but they were active and been part on every activities.
The course begins with Condom cocktail, puzzle, agree and disagree and condom demonstration. We mostly finish course distrubuting condoms to all participants.

Anti-Human Trafficking Campaign in Beautiful Bergen

I heard that Bergen is very beautiful form many people but I found Bergen very beautiful than people used to speak about it. We visited Bergen with a slogan “Say no to Human Trafficking” and aware people about Human Trafficking. This was one of the biggest gatherings organized to support yearly Red Cross Youth Campaign against Human Trafficking. We were all youth delegates except Aline from Rwanda were gather along with some youth volunteers from Akershus, Oslo and Telemark.

When we reached Bergen we received very warm welcome from Bergen Red Cross youth. We all had joined delicious dinner made by Trude one of the past youth delegate to Lebanon.

Almost all volunteer along with all youth delegate in Norway were waiting for the next day to hold stand and spread information about human trafficking in city center of Bergen.

The next day everyone is shining with warm sunlight and spread over the city center with brochures busy on talking with the people. The weather was very good so that area of city center was full with people.

Auction and youth volunteer moving around city center with Red Cross Balloon hanging like forced prostitution, forced labor are the one of most attractive things that we able to attract the people.

Active participation of the entire volunteer made it success and able to raise some money too.

We also got chance to view beautiful Bergen with help of Red Cross youth volunteer. We went to the Fløyen Mountain and got a chance to view real beauties of the beautiful Bergen.

The view from the Fløyen was awesome. We also been to Aquarium and got a chance to view Penguin, shell and many beautiful fishes many more things.

Most Nepalese in Norway gather in a same hall to listen and to put some of agenda in front of first Prime Minister of Republic Nepal. I had also been a part of the gathering. We were around 90 people in hall listening long speech of the Mr. Prachand and most of the delegation team was also present in the hall. We used to say that when a politician get mike to speak than they just speak and speak it happen same here also.
He spoke around 45 minutes. Due to his long and boring speech most of the participants didn’t get chance to put their question. Some of participants put some question and the answer was same well prepared. Prime Minister says that it is hard to work in multi-party government and also implement some rules.
